CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform - Onboarding School and Advanced Training School - Fall 2025

 

With the start of the academic year, CAS is excited to invite you to a series of training webinars for the CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform. These free webinars ensure students, librarians, researchers, and faculty can best utilise the upgraded platform across multiple scientific disciplines.

 

For those who are new to SciFinder, looking to refresh the basics, or want guidance on using the new upgraded features, CAS are offering two types of introductory webinar:

 

Make CAS SciFinder your Chemistry studies companion

For students and staff in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. Learn how to perform basic searches for references, substance structures, chemical properties, spectra and more.

 

Make CAS SciFinder your Scientific studies companion

For students and staff in Life, Pharmaceutical, Environmental, Health and Medical Sciences. Learn how to navigate literature and explore substances across these disciplines.

For more advanced training, the CAS Advanced Training School offers multiple webinars along with Q&A, test and certification. The CAS Advanced Training School offers the following sessions:

 

• Advanced reference searching, refining, and exploration tools
• Advanced structure and reaction searching with retrosynthetic analysis
• Advanced IP searching, CAS Analytical Methods and CAS Formulus
